TV3’s Marató celebrates its 33rd edition this December 15, focusing on the fight against respiratory diseases—a growing concern in our community. This annual event not only raises funds for medical research but also raises awareness about these conditions, which affect the lungs and airways, with pollution being one of the primary environmental factors contributing to them.

Respiratory diseases, which include conditions from asthma and COPD to lung cancer, have become the third leading cause of death in Catalonia. With over two million people affected, the impact of these illnesses is widespread, affecting people of all ages. In this context, TV3’s Marató plays a crucial role in funding advancements in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of these diseases.
