All is already planned for the Festa Major de Mollet, that this year will be celebrated from Friday 18^th to Tuesday 22^th of August in numerous places of this town of the Vallés Oriental. In these lines, we will explain you the main changes and some of the most highlighted events. The Festa Major de Mollet del Vallés changes

In 2017, the Festa Major de Mollet del Vallés developed the family activities and the “street” events, like says the Barcelona City Council. And all of it without ignoring the night spirit of a lot of proposals and cultural and traditional events linked with the celebration.

The children will find activities such as “matinales” in the morning, which are games and workshops which main theme this year is water. A funny and refreshing way to fight the heat in the Parc de les Pruneres. But they are not only youth events, since clown performances, magic shows and, of course street shows and giants are also programmed. You will also find outdoor film sessions and gymkhanas, among other options.

Among the most highlighted street activities there are the cyclist race, popular vermouth tasting and, especially, colles de sardanes and balls vuitcentistes traditional performances, among other things. In addition, this Festa Major de Mollet celebrates a very symbolic birthday: the Castellers of the town turns 25 years as group, that is why they will celebrate a diada castellera on Sunday 20^th at 6:00 pm in the Plaça Prat de la Riba, as well as other events.

And all of this with the help of the traditional festive battle between the two big colles (human towers) of Mollet del Vallés: theMorats and theTorrats which will compete to entertain the celebration with test that any Festa Major visitor can participates in. And of course, there will also be musical performances and DJs at night for the young public.

The Festa Major de Mollet program

The program of the 2017 celebration is very extensive, with decades of proposals in total.   • Europaellada for 1€ in the Parc de Can Mulà, at 1:00 pm.
  • V Tennis torrat tournament, from 6.00 pm in the Club de Padel Can Prat.
• Wednesday 16^th of August
  • Morats Gymnaka for children and adults, in the Parc de les Pruneres, from 6:00 pm.
• Thursday 17^th of August
  • Videogames championship, in the Mercat Vell, at 11:00 am.
  • Popular karaoke at 9:00 pm in the Parc de Lluís Companys.
• Friday 18^th of August
  • Spinning popular session, in Ca n’Arimon from 9:00 pm.
  • Magic show of the Magicury Company at 8:00 pm in the Plaça Pau Casals.
• Saturday 19^th of August
  • Cercavila of the beginning to the Festa Major de Mollet, from the Plaça de Pau Casals to the Prat de la Riba, from 7:30 pm.
  • Gegants i pilars dels Castellers, with opening ceremony by Edu Soto, at 8:00 pm in the Plaça Prat de la Riba.
  • Fire running in the Plaça Prat de la Riba from 10:00 pm.
• Sunday 20^th of August
  • Sardana competition, with the Cobla Jovenívola de Sabadell, at 6:00 pm in
  • Giants Plantada y cercavila, from 6:00 pm in the Plaça de la Església.
  • Double movie session in the Parc de les Pruneres, at 9:30 pm: The Secret Life of Pets and La La Land.
• Monday 21^th of August
  • Teatro La glorieta, by Lisboa Zentral Cafè, in the Plaça Prat de la Riba at 10:30 pm.
• Tuesday 22th of August
  • Huge musical firework display closing celebration, at 10:00 pm in El Calderí.
